Powerful Back 2 SchoolPrayers for our School Children

It’s back 2 school time!  Most students are expected back in classrooms this fall and for most students in Detroit school starts on Sept. 7, 2021. The school year brings excitement for some students and anxiety for children and their parents about their child attending school for the first time or going into a school in a brand new environment. Children have been affected by the effects of Covid 19, now the variant. Many families and educators experienced virtual learning for the first-time last school year. That exposure combined with ongoing COVID concerns and safety protocols may still shape virtual learning in Michigan this fall. That is why parents need to pray powerful back 2 school prayers for their children. https://momsinprayer.org/events/va-back-to-school-event/

Parents are anxious too as questions remain about online education, from inequities in access to computers and the struggle of some students to learn virtually, especially in low-income families and challenges for brown and black children. Educators in various school districts and parents are at odds as to whether masks should be required. Whether your child starts Sept 7, 2021 or started already as a parent you are filled with a bit of anxiety as well and maybe feel like praying with and for other children powerful back 2 school prayers as they start a new year of school.

I believe the best gift we give our kids as they head back to school is our prayers.  Whether it’s the first day of kindergarten, middle school, high school, or college, children need our prayers.  If you believe this too, I hope you’ll join us in praying powerful back 2 school prayers for the month for your children, teachers, and for you the parent that will make a difference.

Powerful Prayer Points for our Children

Day 1- Protection and Safety
Lord in the name of Jesus in the midst of the pandemic and the new variant with decisions whether children will attend a school or participate in virtual learning build a hedge of protection all around them from the covid-19 and any plague or disease. Let the schools have proper protocols and standards to protect from the coronavirus. Let the children’s home be safe and have the proper standards to keep them safe as well. Lord, we pray a hedge of protection for our children, teens, and young adults as they return to school grounds and college campuses. ( Psalm 91)

We pray for a productive school year in a safe environment for our children and youth whether they attend school or in their homes. Stay the hand of violence, evil, and bullying.

Day 2– Relationship to the teacher
Pray that your child will develop a deep respect and appreciation for his/her teacher and will act respectfully to all authority figures. Father, may the student, staff, and teachers experience a positive respectful relationship and Your love in profound and authentic ways ( John 13:35)

Day 3– Relationship to peers

Pray that your child will develop a close bond with his peers at school and at college and that he/she will choose friends wisely. Lord provide my children with friends at school and in the community who are supportive and truthful. Keep them from relationships that provide negative peer pressure and would draw them into temptation and away from You. ( Prov 27:5-6; 1 Corn 15:33)

Day 4- Wisdom

Pray that your child will develop the ability to discern right from wrong and put it into practice on a daily basis at school and in the community. Lord bless my children with wisdom, and give them a hunger for you, to study and learn more at school. Fill them with a thirst for knowledge of Your Word and to study at school their school work. (Prov 3:13; James 1:5; Prov 9:10)

Day 5- Intimacy with God

Draw my children in a personal relationship with You that they may taste your goodness and long for you. Let them know you will watch over them at school and that they are not alone at school when mother and father cannot be there. ( Ps. 27:8 ;34:8; John 14:16-17).

Name Your Child, Niece, Nephew, Grandchildren and their School

Please add your children’s names so we can pray for them and their schools and colleges.

Blessing to parents, students, and the community. #PowerfulBack2SchoolPrayersforStudents,TeachersandParents
